Quiddity | Poetry – Random Specific Thoughts
“It isn’t by getting out of the world that we become enlightened, but by getting into the world…by getting so tuned in that we can ride the waves of our existence and never get tossed because we become the waves.”
― Ken Kesey, Kesey’s Garage Sale
Through a seam in the fabric of existence
Does the day’s soul leak through;
The sole witness to the shadows
Bending to the tune of bones-
As they carve an object of flight
From parchment, so frail.
On turned tables do we cavort
To rhythms, unhindered by probabilities-
As we thrive between intervals undefined.
For the truth of being, do we bleed.
The sick stench of facades
Obscuring visions of beauty blighted.

In a world where
Trust is tainted with trust,
Love stained by love,
As hands that walked our first steps
Are forced into binds by
Hands that wrought hateful love;
Existence, do we muster.
Oh, call out hearts and souls –
For sustenance of sight so true,
Whilst we soar through
A world set ablaze – for fear of loss,
In remembrance of music
That once held love captive.
“Youth ends when egotism does; maturity begins when one lives for others.”
― Hermann Hesse, Gertrude
Thoughtfully yours,

On a quick sidenote, I would like to extend my gratitude to Dagmara, editor at Spillwords for accepting my poem, Tears for publication at Spillwords. You can read it here if you’d like!
On a more serious note – as most of you probably know, India is caught up in a deadly battle with the second wave which is brutal. With thousands of people losing their lives daily, studies are beginning to identify India, as a global epicentre for the pandemic, as the number of deaths rise rapidly, along with a radical increase in the test positivity rate. This accompanied by a grave shortage of medical resources especially, oxygen and pre-existing issues like starvation and poverty – not a lot seem hopeful at this point.

We
become
from the core
the inner world
into the outside world
through our
Mother inside
born
the source
to the core
is the soul
not a pious one
noble person
is ever
in his there
on his being
on waves
his power of thought
ridden along
we are what we are
on the way
the incarnation
which has not yet been completed
the seam in the head
means the reality
with a spell
to be able to overcome
that we like each other
of probabilities
approximately from truths
in the dance of the sexes
orgiastic in visions
delight in beauty
love a word
that the opposites
want to unite
because that’s in between
Needed hard work every day
no man is without sin
who himself
never hated the other
throw the first stone
the heart beats relentlessly
in the noble and in the bad man
the soul created both
Everyone has to take responsibility
his deeds before himself
the senses can see
the eyes can touch
the fear of loss
they are waiting on every corner
on the inner path
the reality of the soul
in their world created for us
the youth reverberates
into old age
maturity begins
by looking at your own dreams
understands it as a natural phenomenon
for perusal
to the contrast of consciousness
the daily harvest

the power

the tears
the sufferer
fill rivers
and lakes
the waves
and waves
the storms
and hurricanes
captured by our feelings
on the boat of emotions
throw us
in us on distant shores
our vulnerability
our loneliness
is the one soul
conscious in us
the consolation comes
from enduring
what a person
with a vengeance
of thinking
of doing not
can change
the stories
which we talk about our existence
tell about our path in life
every word
does not belong to the author
every spoken
written word
belongs to the world

I think your poem is enough without others jumping on the chance of self-publication.
As to India, there is always hope and many of us are helping already.

Thank you so much, Joanna! Spillwords is just a journal that accepts most poems, I submitted Tears a few months ago.
Aw I so appreciate that, Joanna. I realize there’s always hope but so many people have already lost their lives and it seems terribly unfair to many, especially to those hailing from the poor communities.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read!
