I am so excited to let you all know that I’m starting a second series on Paper Hearts, my book blog!

Titled, ‘Whispers of the Soul‘ because Poetry comes from deep within, this is a month long series which will begin on September 2 and end on September 30. I’ll post one of my favourite poems every Wednesday along with a short interpretation and review.

The best part is that you get to participate too!! Comment down one of your favourite poems and I’d love to write a short review. You’ll also receive a shout-out in the respective post and at the end of the month! I’ll post your suggested poems every Monday and Saturday (depending on the number of poems I receive). Please note that, the poems should not be too long as I’ll be including it in the post and romantic poems will not be considered.

For the final surprise, on Sep 21, Sep 24, and Sep 28, I’ll be publishing a poem one of you wrote! (Closed as I’ve received 4 submissions. Thank you so much for your constant support!!) Something similar to guest posting. Please note you’ll have to provide a short description of what you want your poem to convey along with the submission of your poem. If you would like to submit a poem, please head over to my Contact page to get in touch! Only the first three entries would be considered as I don’t like judging or choosing over any one’s works. If I do receive more than three poems, everyone who sends one will receive a shout out at the end of the month!

Please do participate!

My Schedule:
Sep 2: Invictus by William Ernest Henley
Sep 9: Animals by Walt Whitman
Sep 16: If by Rudyard Kipling
Sep 23: I Measure Every Grief I Meet by Emily Dickinson
Sep 28: Death, be not Proud by John Donne
Sep 18, 21, 25: A poem one of you wrote!

  43. Confession I’ve never seen Dead Poets Society but I’ve heard so much about it. It’s funny because I soon as I saw that GIF I knew where it was from 🤷‍♀️😂 I think it’s a sign I should see it, lol. why do you like that movie so much ?

    Liked by 1 person

  44. Oh, I absolutely loved that movie. Robin William’s portrayal of John Keatings(an English teacher) was so authentic and heartfelt. Everything about that movie, the message to the wide range of characters, all of it was just raw and brilliant. And the way the speaks about Poetry is so beautiful. I could go on and on. You have to watch that movie ASAP!😂
